Stupid Small Scanners Sicken Me

Thu Mar 12, 2009, 4:18 PM
Haven't updated in a while...*whistles*

So, last semester, I finally took art in my highschool. I've done a few pieces that I'm pretty proud of, but my scanner is too small! Urgh. I hate this. My paper is like 11"x14" and there is no way it can fit in my puny priniter. I am so sad. *cries*

I used charcoal and colored pencils and a regular pencil and paint and oil pastels and a lot of my imagination mojo and for what? Nothing. I'd take pictures of my art but my camera is pretty sucky so you won't really see how sort-of-cool my pieces are. I'm asking my friends if they've got scanners big enough to fit my art works but all of them have tiny scanners too. I've asked [okay, okay, begged] my parents to ask their friends if they have big enough scanners but the answer remains the same. *sigh*

I have done some pieces that were in an 8½"x11" paper but our teacher never gave it back. Now it's a new semester and I don't know if she still as them. I would go ask her but I really don't have time to do whatever I please. This is really sad. I really liked that on particular piece I did and I so want it back.

On a lighter note...

I opted to take guitar lessons this semester. I'm doing pretty well and my father bought me a new guitar yesterday. I'm thinking of naming it but haven't really found the right name yet. If you'd like to help me name my guitar, feel free to suggest awesome names. If you'd like to see what my guitar looks like, have a look at this [it's a Yamaha CG101A. we use the CG100A at school so there isn't that much of a difference]. I have a guitar back home [in the Philippines] and I haven't named it either. Unfortunaltely, I dunno what model it is so I don't think I can provide a picture. The wood is lighter than my new one though.

Also, I've gotten some new books a few months ago [so they aren't exactly new anymore] but I haven't had the time to read them yet. I got this great deal on a hardbound Wicked+Son of A Witch by Gregory Maguire. Yep. Those two stories in one amazing book only for $7.99! How awesome a deal is that?!

...

as of right now, I'm not really doing much except for schoolwork, y'know, the usual stuff. I am working on this surprise for a certain group of people. *shifty* Don't ask me. I've only told one other person and this person agreed to keep quiet. I just wanted to give a heads up before I post it here. Hopefully they'll like it.

I kinda want/need a new cellphone. My old one is falling apart and random people call me about car insurance and whatever and I'm like...um, I don't have a car...Other calls I get are from people who speak a different language and I'm just standing there holding the phone to my ear and be like "I'm sorry, what?" stupid people keep calling me. O_+ I'd really love to get the Nokia 5310 but we can't really afford that right now. Ugh. Recession...although...

Since spending stimulates the economy, people should spend a lot of money during a recession, not really via credit/loans but actual money. That's the reason I gave my mother when we bought tons of CDs [Plaint White T's: Big Bad World; Fall Out Boy: Folie Folie à Deux; Matt Nathanson: Some Mad Hope; Jason Mraz: We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things; Pink: Funhouse; Paramore: Riot!; Twilight Original Soundtrack; Teddy Geiger: Underage thinkng. Yeah, when I say a lot, I mean a lot] from BestBuy so I can finally put new music in my iPod because my parents won't allow me to get an iTunes account[I mean, I have the iTunes thingy but not really an account so all I can get are podcasts and an easier way to transfer music from CDs to my iPod] And government spending increases the money flow...and why am I blabbering about economics? xD Sorry...the AP classes are getting to me.

I also want to get a new camera like my cousin, Eliza [yeah, I'm talking about you!:iconlysdarnangel:], and Photoshop which I've been craving for for about three years now. LMAO. I really want to learn how to edit photos. Maybe I can manipulate some of my photographs so they can have better quality. Also I can do other stuff with my drawing and make them look...presentable.

...
And just because I feel like it.
